“In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it…
“Because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.”
“You were at that time separated from Christ.., having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ… For through him we have access in one Spirit to the Father. You are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” “This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.” Ephesians 1:13-20; 2:12-13,18-19; 3:11-12
“I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things… in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him,.. that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.” “God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:8-10; 4:19
Meeting Christ and Christ meeting us in every way is an exquisite communion. The scriptures detail the graces of salvation that introduce us to the Savior and install us into life in Him while also offering the manifold ways He continues to meet us in our moments and days. The relationship begun before time continues in wondrous growing intimacy through the years. (Psalm 139:13-16; Ephesians 2:1-7)

Have I met the Lord of all as my Lord, humbly and gratefully? If so, how am I enjoying His riches, power, and adoption? Do I daily meet Him in His beautiful, powerful word, sensing His conviction, correction, help, and guidance? Do I converse with Him in prayer through praise, thanksgiving, confession, and expressing need? (Isaiah 1:18; 1 John 1:3)
If not, what keeps me from committing to meeting together to know Him and His ways? Would I confess resistance, apathy, sloth? What can I adjust in schedule or accountability to meet Him regularly in prayer and study? How will I invest in making that time meaningful, life-giving, and Christ-exalting?
How has the Lord met me in the in and outs and ups and downs of my days? In what weak, lonely, uninspired moments has He shown up with strength, presence, or insight? Awareness of His gifts compels us to return the favor with gratitude and implementation.
Father, grant me the will to meet with You, expecting You to meet me, to Your ends.
